Dude where's my way to work?

Hey everyone...yes I know its been forever, if not more! I know I had announced Team player and politician pt 2. right now I want to start another series in the making, well im not sure how much of a series this is going to be but consider this the pilot episode. You're probably like "What The Fuck is even the topic of this", forget the topic for a second and lets just focus on the scenario. I want to play it out for you and then go from there. This is based on a real sequence of events and the order will be particularly correct, however you all know how this Rodeo goes but I will say it again for all of my new readers...This is a disclosure notice names will be changed and certain events will be exaggerated for entertainment purposes...Here goes!

I don't want this come as too vague because there is a lot of information I have yet to reveal in regards too, the "not the bad worst roommate I've ever had" or whatever I had. Its my narrative and I can do that anyway think of this as a "pre" apocalyptic roommate situation. Around this time I was also with Riley so it was nice to kind of have a buddy in the situation even though his help wasn't really accounted for.  So let's just start with the car I was driving at the time "I named him Cecilia" and she was a definitive  upgrade from Dawson. It was about 5 months in since I had her and all was going well, even though I had missed my first payment a few months back. It still seemed like it was going well, I had received her as a gift from who I am going to call the "Matriarch". She was definitely a thorn in my side but it wasn't too much I could do.

At this particular point in time we were at home kind of just hanging out, talking and eating. I had remembered that I left something in the car. Naturally I go send Riley because he always wanted to feel useful and extra helpful. He takes the keys and he goes downstairs. As I sat there I seemed to notice that he was taking a bit longer then usual, so right as I get up he comes barging in and his first question to me before I could ask what took him so long was "I can't find the car where did you park it". We both look at each other pretty confused, then he says "I literally didn't see it on the street anywhere". We run downstairs and make our way outside, I run to the spot behind the fire hydrant where I parked the car and saw nothing. I looked up and down the right furious and confused.

First thing on my mind was did it get repossessed? As I was one payment behind. I grab my phone and I call 911, they inform me that the car wasn't repossessed nor was it towed by the city. That definitely alarmed me even further. I put out a police report and It was right around then that I remembered that I had a hum from Verizon and that the car had  a GPS. I immediately pull it up on my phone and I let the police dispatch know the location. By this time me and Riley are trying to talk and figure it out. It was hard and we were in a panic, on top of that I had work in a couple of hours and now I have absolutely no idea how to get there and who stole my car. I call up a good friend of mine for a ride to the address.

Once he arrived me and Riley hopped in, we sped through downtown trying to get to the exact location, the weird thing was I had been in the area before and I slowly started to recognize everything around me and that made me feel good but at the same time it was kind of scary. Not seeing it on the street and in the neighborhood we looked and looked finally behind a white picket fence and two other cars there was my poor little stolen car. We all hopped out and as soon as I did I take a good look at the house and instantly I knew where I was. Me, Riley and this friends of mine we hop out. Im bothered and im confused and im just thinking to myself "what the hell is going on, what could we possibly be doing here this better not be what I think it is". Now with that thought I want to take this back a bit I want to bring in another character.

That character being my exes brother in law and the house we were at just happened to be his brother in laws in laws place. If that makes sense but yes you read that correct, my exes brother in law took part in taking my car. However that tumultuous part was that it wasn't even the brother in law it was actually my exes father that lit fire to the whole situation. If that wasn't infuriating enough lets fast forward and go to the part, where we go up to the house and start knocking on doors. M little friend started getting carried away with it, he actually hopped the back gate and slid across one of the cars. By this time the neighbors dog is going wild and now we have my exes in laws mad. He was trying to find a way to drive it out. The cousin was the first to come out, and he started off talking his shit. He literally told me that I can't have my car back because im not responsible. The only thing I had to respond with that was "who is behind all of this, I know it couldn't have been anyone here". He doesn't directly tell me and at this point you have my friend over the gate trying to get the car out, you have Riley standing there starting to panic, and you definitely have me pretty pissed.

At this point they want me to get my friend out of the backyard and i'm just like "not until you tell me who put all of you up this", the cousin refused up until Riley told him that he would brick the windows if he didn't speak up. The cousin finally tells me to just sit until my exes father gets there and im just thinking to myself "there's no fucking way would he really do that". At this point I really need you to step back and open your eyes to the situation, picture being at home and then you go out to your car, to only find out the very person who gave it to you took it back with no explanation. It kind of traumatizes you, it happened a while ago but trust me when I tell you even I have to go outside and constantly sit in my car and remind myself that its mine and that no one is going to take it from me. I have a new level of trust issues.

I take the answer for what it is and me and the boys end up back in the car waiting, we waited for about an hour, within that you wouldn't believe who shows up, the police. Once we see them pull up and approach the door we hit the corner and watch, the even crazier part is that my exes dad walks out of the house. We all stand their with our mouths open. Ive only ever really seen these moments on tv, actually encountering one was pretty wild. What I can tell you is that we were definitely nervous at this because WHO WOULDNT BE!!! They finally approach us for more details and to hear our side of the story. I let them know that the car was mine and explained about the contract and that his father helped me get the car and I was paying them for it. As understanding as they is seems is just how much they weren't. What they ended up telling us was to leave and that there wasn't anything anyone can do because the car wasn't in my name and because of that I have no say regardless of how many payments I've made.

That was pretty awful to hear because what was told, to me was that I was the co signer to the car so my name should've been on it. It was until my exes father decided to take my name off the last minute because he didn't trust that I would get the money and actually pay the bill. I felt defeated and with only two hours to get to work I figured I had to come up with something and I did. I told my friend to take me to the movie theater my ex worked right around the block. The strategy was to talk to him and see if he would let me borrow his second car. Within that time I had received a call on my phone, the call was coming from his mother and all she had to say about it was to stay away from him and not harass him at work. I hung up in her face and me and the boys sped off. Meanwhile my friend had picked up a bag that was on top of the car, I looked in it and it seemed to be all of my belongings that were in the car..

I seemed to notice I had everything except my hum which brought me to the car in the first place. I didn't make any accusations right away but I was most definitely wasn't going to forget because at the time it wasn't paid off. We race in the car and get there on the way there we notice that his brother in law was right behind us, and I couldn't tell if we were going to the same destination right away. Once it was confirmed we pulled up on the side and I jumped out of the car and I ran around the block and made my way into the tiny restaurant on the corner. There was my ex right there at the counter, his eyes get big when he sees me he already knew it was a problem because usually I never have to show up at his job. I didn't see his brother in law behind me so I figured he must have stayed in the car.

Me and my ex have a talk and I explain to him what was going on, naturally he wasn't surprised. He gave me the keys and told me to get home safe and that his brother in law and his mom were on their way coming to pick him up. I walk back outside and he was right there they were right outside of the car. I got a few ugly looks out of it and his mother tried to tell me that I couldn't have the car.  I turned my back on her and walked off and got back in the car. Once we speed off and get to the car I notice that his brother in law and mom were right behind us still. Me and Riley hop out and switch cars as I have to start making my way top work right about now. The issue now was that the car didn't have gas and that proved to be another problem. I pick up the phone and I call his mom for gas, of course she says no but at this point we were right behind her and somehow this started turning into a chase, she hit every corner sharper and faster then the first. It was almost to a point she was running the stop signs.

I think her main intention was to have me run out of gas and leave me stranded, finally I cut her off at one of the light and I get out and ask her what her problem was. Her and the brother in law get out and tell me to leave before they call the police, I yell at them to give me gas and that's the least they could do for showing up to my house and taking my shit. At that point they both pull out 20 each and give it me...I walk back to car and speed to the nearest gas station. I was on my way to work, I was already running a few minuets late but at this point I just needed to get my head clear. I couldn't believe what just happened. I turn the car back around and I speed back to the house. I open the door to everyone sitting around the living room talking, and clearly it was about me because as soon as they seen me everyone got quiet and looked at each other.

I try talking to his mother about the car but she tells me to speak to his dad, was ultimately didn't want to speak to me in the first place, they also expressed how mad they were that their son had given me the car. I fight back and I defend myself, I let them know how evil they were being and that they had left me no choice in the matter. They felt otherwise. At this point I am sleep deprived, his parents tell me that the car is going back to the bank and that there is nothing they could dod and that was regardless of if I had the money our not. I storm out and I hop in the car and head straight for work. Im turn  my music up and try to stay awake and run from these thoughts I was having. I felt dumb and humiliated, I felt like a kid all over again, I felt the hurt that I felt when I was a kid. I also felt lots and lots of anger.

Time went by and I made it through work, once back at the house me and my exes family were still arguing, the car was still at the house and they still insisted it went to the bank. That was until a week later when I came by the house only to see the car sitting in the driveway. I was mad but I figured instead of being mad that I would make a joke out of it, I pull out my phone and I hop on snapchat. I make multiple jokes about the car going back to the "bank". Some would say this was in poor taste especially when my exes brother in law was watching from the front door the entire time. I couldn't help but laugh even harder, I called them a bunch of snakes and I took the jealous comments that were being thrown my way as a joke, at this point I didn't care. It was time to start back over.

I tried I really did, and that was until I realized what happened. The brother in law took over my car, he put it in his name and bailed out the late fees. At this point there was nothing I could do,  I got myself together the best I could and I planned for something greater to happen. In the mean time I went back to bucket type cars and grew happy in the fact that I had one less bill to worry about. I learned a lot from this particular situation and i'm still learning from it...The moral? I'll let you decide.
